29/07/2014 - Congratulations Prince Albert Angling Society

Saturday 26th July the Prince Albert Angling Society junior open match was fished at the Sand and Dove mere waters at Allostock Cheshire certainly a great venue where the boys and girls had every chance of catching and those that chose to float fish certainly done that in fine style.. The club junior secretary Peter Henery with his group of helpers done an excellent job, bait and lunch was provided also everyone went home with a good prize all donated by local business people, I also donated several of my books At The Water’s Edge to the prize list. It was nice to see a lot of mum’s also a few dad’s enjoying the beauty of the lakeside. Everyone who I spoke with said how peaceful and relaxing angling was. Hopefully we might get a few mums and dads taking up the pastime. I visited every one of the young anglers during the match, offering advice making up float rigs discussing feeding patterns and giving out a sample of Lone Angler cheese mania in the hope they might catch some of the good roach that reside in the water. The great thing about these matches is everyone one is a winner from the organisers to the young match anglers. Well done Prince Albert Angling Society it’s something other angling clubs could copy.
