04/10/2020 - The Day After An Eventful Session

Having ended my session on Thursday 1st October, I was out again on Friday 2nd October sadly I was on my own today, due to a change in Covid rules. Dave Hurst couldn’t pick me up as we were no longer allowed to be in the same vehicle. I arrived on the river to find conditions had changed quite dramatically from the day before, with a very strong downstream wind, gale force at times with a drop in air temperature, float fishing was out of the question. I spent several hours roaming from swim to swim, fishing various baits, bread crust, sausage meat, lobworms, cheese paste and bread flake, for three chub averaging 3lbs.
